Unobtrusive Continuous Stress Detection in Knowledge Work—Statistical Analysis on User Acceptance

چکیده
Modern knowledge work is highly intense and demanding, exposing workers to long-term psychosocial stress. In order address the problem, stress detection technologies have been developed, enabling continuous assessment of personal based on multimodal sensor data. However, stakeholders lack insights into how employees perceive different monitoring whether they are willing share stress-indicative data in sustain well-being at individual, team, organizational levels context. To fill this research gap, we developed a theoretical model for workers’ interest sharing their collected with unobtrusive sensors examined it empirically using structural equation modeling (SEM) survey 181 European workers. The results did not show statistically significant privacy concerns regarding environmental such as air quality, sound level, motion sensors. On other hand, about more privacy-sensitive methods tracking device usage patterns prevent user acceptance nor intent Overall, were interested employing measure receive information well-being. validate willingness accept unobtrusive, context work.

Life is becoming increasingly stressful in many aspects, e.g., due to technology-induced stress and stress in organizational context. The assessment of stress experienced by individuals enables stress management and prevention with the long-term aim to avoid psychological and physiological harm from excessive stress. Commonly this assessment is performed through questionnaires on perceived stre...

Unobtrusive Monitoring of Knowledge Workers for Stress Self-regulation
In our connected workplaces it can be hard to work calm and focused. In a simulated work environment we manipulated the stressors time pressure and email interruptions. We found effects on subjective experience and working behavior. Initial results indicate that the sensor data that we collected is suitable for user state modeling in stress related terms.

Recommender applications support decision-making processes by helping online customers to identify products more effectively. Recommendation problems have a long history as a successful application area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the interest in recommender applications has dramatically increased due to the demand for personalization technologies by large and successful e-Commerce envi...
متن کاملUnobtrusive Biometric System Based on Electroencephalogram Analysis
Features extracted from electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings have proved to be unique enough between subjects for biometric applications. We show here that biometry based on these recordings offers a novel way to robustly authenticate or identify subjects. In this paper, we present a rapid and unobtrusive authentication method that only uses 2 frontal electrodes referenced to another one place...
